The spring season is arriving quickly as we anxiously wait for the grass to turn green, flowers to bloom, and babies to be born! 2018 is going to be a good year and we are off to a strong start. We are staying busy with many homes for sale and with spring events. There is a lot of activities that will be coming up faster than you know. The National Zoo
Great for all ages, the zoo provides a chance for people to learn about and experience over 300 different species of wildlife. Spend a day to explore species that interests you. A Day in Washington, D.C
It is easy to be familiar with the area, but not actually visit some of the big attractions Washington, D.C offers. Historical sights such as the Washington Monument, Lincoln’s Memorial, and The Smithsonian are a few on the must sees. Experience the heart of DC, while still commemorating those who have fallen.
The Anacostia River Festival, Sunday April 15, 2018, is the premiere event for the National Cherry Blossom Festival. It offers free food, canoe rides and fun family games, while experiencing some of the locals favorites. Break up the busy day with one of the known local favorites. Maryland in the Spring
The Steeplechase Races is one of the biggest traditions that goes back more than 100 years. It is great for family and friends to relax while tailgating and watching the cross country races. If racing is what you like, the Preakness Stakes are on May 19, in Baltimore.
Maryland also hosts a Kite Festival in April, Farm Museum Spring Festival, conventions and many more various activities. The Maryland website provides more links and information about each event.
