Taste of D.C.
Are you searching for great food, live music, and fun for the kids? Taste of D.C. featuring everything from local restaurants and breweries to live music, they even have a kid zone. This two day event is considered the Mid-Atlanitic region’s premier culinary cultural festival. This means there will be over 65 restaurants! Taste of D.C. is definitely an event for the whole family! It takes place October 7 and 8th located at Festival Grounds at RFK Stadium, 2400 East Capitol Street SE, Washington, DC 20003.
Boo at the Zoo
On October 20-22, The National Zoo holds a Halloween event for the whole family! This three day event has everything to keep the kids entertained and having fun. With over 40 stations, live entertainment, access to animal houses and exhibits, and a pumpkin carving contest, it is defiantly something you don’t want to miss out on! So pick out your costume and save the day!
From the creators of the Game of Thrones pop up bar, they bring you PUB Dread. This pop up bar is specifically for the spooky halloween spirit. Walk around each room with different spooky themes. Some themes include, a haunted forest, a crypt, a parlor filled with creepy dolls and a “Spacebar.” This event takes place from October 1-31, located at 1839-1843 7th Street NW, Washington, DC 20001. Make sure to put this one in your calendar!
Night of the Living Zoo
This event is the adult version of Boo at the Zoo. The night is filled with live performances, zoo access, and crazy costumes. There will be local food trucks and craft brews as well! If you are looking for a fun adult event, this is the one for you! Don’t forget to enter the competitive costume contest! It is located at the National Zoo on October 27th.
